17. Web Fatigue

1. Digital burnout; the inability to absorb any more online media; online saturation.

2. Begins with the realization that humans live in a mostly linear time frame and that all time, on and offline, is confined to a single linear mode which has little flexibility or allowances for stretching or shrinking. Continues with the realization that most time is currently consumed. Ends with the realization that anything new in cyberspace is competing with already established limitations.

3. Participants in new blogs, new social media ventures, new anything online may find web fatigue is a barrier to adopting new technologies.

4. The sheer number of user names and passwords, technologies which were fundamental two years ago you will never use again but invested time and money into, an endless cycle which may - if it continues - prove the futility of adopting any particular system.
